October 20, 2004 - ProSearch Receives Aetna Small Business of the Year AwardProSearch, a retained executive search firm, received the 2004 Aetna Small Business of the Year Award for the Mid-Atlantic Region. The award recognizes exceptional companies with an entrepreneurial spirit and devotion to its employees and the community. On behalf of each winner, Aetna provides a chosen charitable organization with a donation of $5,000. Celebrating the value and impact of small businesses in their local community, the Aetna Small Business Award winners are judged on community involvement; a unique start-up story; the ability to overcome obstacles; and outstanding growth, earnings, and profitability. ProSearch excelled in all areas. The ProSearch award goes to Project H.O.M.E., an organization empowering people to break the cycle of chronic homelessness and poverty. "Our company has been supporting Project H.O.M.E. for the past six years, and we are pleased that its work will be furthered by this award," says Suzanne Fairlie, president and CEO of ProSearch. "We have contributed used computer equipment and organized clothing drives to provide appropriate attire for residents of Project Home who are seeking work opportunities. I am very proud ProSearch has won this award, and that we can share it with our charity of choice." Project H.O.M.E. addresses the structural causes of poverty to enable those they are helping attain their fullest potential as individuals and as members of the broader society. This is achieved through the provision of a continuum of care comprised of street outreach, supportive housing, and comprehensive services including health care, education, and employment. The organization also addresses the root causes of homelessness through neighborhood revitalization programs, including affordable housing development, employment training, and adult and youth education.
