April 2004-Society for Information Management to Present Panel on Web Portals - ProSearch's Suzanne Fairlie to Moderate
The Society for Information Management (SIM) will present a Web Portals panel for information technology executives on April 6, 2004 at The College of Physicians in Philadelphia.
Panelists at the April meeting are Vic Amo, director, Sun Oil; Dr. Rodney Murray, Thomas Jefferson University; and Dr. Sabrina DeTurk, assistant provost, La Salle University.
Moderator, Suzanne Fairlie, president of ProSearch, a professional executive technology search firm, will address questions that cover the basics of Web Portal development and delve into the values and needs of such a site. She will pose questions on issues ranging from an organization's decision to implement a portal, key challenges, competitive advantages, return on investment, how to polish techniques, to the kinds of technology being used.
Panelists will describe Portals experience within their organizations and why support for these programs should be championed in a fast-paced marketplace.
Members of the non-profit organization, SIM, include CIOs, CTOs, key professionals and emerging leaders within the information technology (IT) community who are provided with a sound infrastructure to access international information technology perspectives.
