"It was good working with you during my job search and the interview process. It was especially good for me because I obtained a position with a very well managed company. The process was professionally coordinated. The sequence of events that I recall are: Upon first hearing of the position, from you, my wife and I felt that we did not want to move. You then contacted us a few times with gentle suggestions of some communities/cities that were "kind of between our home and the new company". This gave me the impression that you felt I was strongly qualified for the position. Also, once you sensed that our decision to not move was firm you did not continue to call. "I have now been placed into two positions by ProSearch If I am involved in a job search again, ProSearch will be my first call. They sent me to a total of 11 interviews during the two job search periods. Both times, I received more than one offer from which to choose. Each of the 11 interviews were with stable, growing companies and were for challenging positions that were pertinent towards my career growth. I have worked with other placement firms, but ProSearch clearly distinguished themselves as the best. Most recruiters in the IT industry look for the same 'buzzwords' on the resume as the job description, then if the salary ranges match-up, they will send in your resume. ProSearch actually understands the functionality behind the languages, applications, databases, methodologies, designs, ... and how this fits in with specific corporations and their business units as well as how specific positions fit with your short and long-term career goals. While most recruiters can only spell ASP, the recruiters at ProSearch can distinguish between both meanings of the acronym. In your current IT organization, if you were seeking career advice, would you go to your Human Resources rep, or would you look for a successful IT veteran? With most recruiting firms, its like going to Human Resources. With ProSearch, you receive the benefits of both an experienced IT vet and a knowledgeable HR rep (usually an oxymoron). On a number of occasions, they provided impartial advice on my career growth, soft-skills, technical development and a million (give or take 5) interviewing/job-search tips that I hadn't thought of. They taught me key concepts like what to look for to determine stability and growth of a company, why I shouldn't consider counter-offers, how to reply to salary-requirement inquiries, and many more invaluable tips that have been proved out over time. I went to each interview extremely well prepared. ProSearch knew almost all the people I was interviewing with, and she understood each one's interviewing style and what they were looking for and provided very good insight into the company and its history, and the ever-important directions to the interview. After the interview, the first thing they had me do was call. This is a great idea since you can forget so much as time goes by. I would speak to about how I thought it went; the aspects I liked and what I didn't like; answers I thought I did well on and answers I felt could have been better ;... would offer advice when appropriate, and the last thing she would always ask is 'are you interested in this position?'. I don't know anyone that knows Philadelphia better than ProSearch and they are a great advocate on such a wide range of issues. This was never more evident than when a discrepancy with the background-check caused the company to revoke the offer letter. They calmed me down when I was about to go 'postal', then helped me write a well-written letter to the company explaining the situation. I sent this letter on Saturday morning, by Monday morning, the offer was returned to me and I am working there now. My career growth has exploded since ProSearch first helped me find a new position. I am extremely grateful to ProSearch for all their efforts and care, and I recommend them to anyone in the IT field that feels they have the motivation and talent to succeed and grow in the IT industry."
