Failing to Establish Clear Priorities Most Fatal Early Error

Kennedy Information reports that failing to establish strategic priorities is the most common mistake that senior executives make in their first 100 days, according to 24% of Korn/Ferry International recruiters who participated in the fifth edition of the firm's quarterly Executive Recruiter Index. "The most successful executives cut through the clutter, isolate their strategic priorities early and plot a course of action to set them in motion. This is critical because the first 100 days present a unique opportunity to disturb the status quo" says Vice chairman Joe Griesedieck.
