Suzanne Fairlie

Suzanne Fairlie is founder and president of ProSearch, an executive retained search firm specializing in Information Technology and Finance  search. Established in 1988, ProSearch is headquartered in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania.  

Previously, Fairlie worked for IBM, Tandem, and Sun Oil in Information Systems Management.  She graduated from Gettysburg College with a BA in Mathematics, supported by a National Science Foundation Scholarship. 

Fairlie’s over 20 years of high level search experience include recruitment of "best in class" senior and C-level information technology  and financial professionals from varied organizations, including Fortune 500 companies,  fast growth entrepreneurial firms, and non profit organizations.  Her firm has placed over 1000, esp.  CIOs, CFO’s,  and Information Systems VP's  since 1988, many of whom are in place 5 to 10 years, or longer.  Known for a strong percentage of diversity placements, and for long tenured placed candidates, and for successfully completing our searches, the firm has grown through word-of-mouth referrals.

Her insider experience in Information Systems, beginning as an IBM System Engineer, to corporate roles in systems,  to a Regional Product Manager with Tandem, enable her to effectively describe and understand a position's technical requirements as well as the company’s cultural fit.  She possesses a comprehensive understanding of technology based strategies, operations, and management structure, and partners with her clients for effective solutions.

Consistently identified as one of the Top 25 Executive Search Firms in Philadelphia by the Philadelphia Business Journal, she is often quoted in career-oriented national publications and has authored several articles. Ms. Fairlie was named to Pennsylvania’s Best 50 Women in Business 2005, as part of a program which showcases the best women in business in Pennsylvania, based on their advocacy for women, professional accomplishments and community involvement.  She has made guest appearances on CNN and local television. ProSearch received the 2004 Aetna Small Business of the Year Award, and with that, they were able to designate a $5000 donation to the charity of their choice, Project Home.

Ms. Fairlie has served as an officer in the National Association, Pennsylvania Association, and Mid-Atlantic Association of Personnel Consultants, as well as on the Board of Directors of the Pinnacle Society, the CIO Forum,  Junior Achievement, and the Black Data Processing Association (BDPA).  She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Opera Company of Philadelphia, the CIO Advisory Board of NPower, IACPR, and the Women’s Financial Services Network Advisory Board for PNC Wealth Management.  Suzanne serves on various committees of the Society for Information Management (SIM), and the Union League of Philadelphia, and is often called upon to speak at state and national associations, on topics related to executive search, employee retention, and interviewing techniques. She has also successfully helped law firms with expert witness testimony related to career-based and job search issues.   ProSearch is proud of its membership in the Association of Executive Search Consultants (www.aesc.org), an international organization of retained search firms, and IACPR (www.iacpr.org), whose membership combines corporate VP’s of HR and retained search firms

Additionally, Ms. Fairlie has testified before Congress, participated in White House Briefings and was invited to the signing of the NAFTA by President Clinton.  Her name appears in the Pennsylvania Honor Roll of Women, a recognition for women who have distinguished themselves as professionals and leaders in their communities. Featured on the cover of Business Philadelphia, Ms. Fairlie was named a “Top 100 People to Watch” in Philadelphia.  She and her husband, a Psychologist, are proud parents of two  grown children,  their spouses, and 4 grandchildren.
