Paul Park explores strategies and technology for eDiscovery. Paul is a futurist, incubating and assimilating technology to enhance our customers’ eDiscovery experience through strategic alliances and strategic partnership. Paul holds degrees in Physics, Mathematics, and Philosophy from UC Berkeley and has 20 years of experience in business innovation and technology, developing solutions for companies such as IBM, Disney, Sony, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and ATT. Paul’s current areas of inspiration include robotic automation, cloud computing and translation memory. Mr. Park enjoys eDiscovery’s endless opportunity for innovation.

HEAD OF STRATEGIC INNOVATION
David Li, Ph.D.
Dr. Li currently heads the Linguistics, Analytics, & Data Science team at ProSearch. In addition to implementing the Technology Assisted Review solution for ProSearch, David researches the innovative application of advanced searching methodologies such as natural language processing and machine learning. With a background in both social and biological science, David received his Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Southern California, M.Ed. from Harvard University, and B.Sc. from Simon Fraser University.
Jason Christian is a Solutions Engineer with 15+ years of experience in the legal technologies industry. Jason’s primary focus is to evaluate new and current technologies to assist in designing “best-in-breed” solutions for ProSearch’s corporate client base and new business opportunities. Jason draws upon his vast knowledge of eDiscovery, computer forensics, Information Governance, discovery platforms, and machine learning applications to help identify and solve the day-to-day challenges that customers face. Jason has had the privilege of holding senior level titles at the corporate eDiscovery level, litigation support vendor level, software sales and engineering levels, and product operations and product marketing levels.
Xiao He, Ph.D.
DATA SCIENTIST: LINGUISTICS, ANALYTICS, AND DATA SCIENCE (LADS)
Dr. Xiao He is a data scientist on the Linguistics, Analytics, & Data Science team at ProSearch. In addition to implementing the Technology Assisted Review solution for ProSearch, Xiao develops custom solutions and workflows, and researches machine learning applications in eDiscovery. Xiao received his Ph.D. in Linguistics with emphases in experimentation and statistics from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, and B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to joining ProSearch, Xiao worked as an assistant professor of linguistics and quantitative analysis at the University of Manchester, United Kingdom.
Gina Taranto, Ph.D.
DIRECTOR, APPLIED SCIENCES / ACCELERATED LEARNING SOLUTIONS
Dr. Taranto leads research and innovation of accelerated learning solutions by directing multidisciplinary teams of technologists, subject matter experts, and data scientists to train the technologies that replicate human decisions. She has been developing teams and solutions in eDiscovery for 14 years, with experience in the design and implementation of search and automated document review solutions for clients in the financial services, technology, and pharmaceutical industries. Gina’s application expertise includes IBM’s Watson Explorer, Equivio Relevance, Relativity, and dtSearch. In addition to building ProSearch’s Linguistics, Analytics, and Data Science group, she has led the development of internal programs for happiness, feedback, training, and supporting communities of practice. She is a published author in the fields of linguistics and information retrieval. Previously, Dr. Taranto was a lead linguist and adviser to client engagements at H5, and a research linguist at both A-Life Medical, Inc. and Northrop Grumman Information Systems. She received her B.A. from Kresge College at the University of California, Santa Cruz, with honors, and her M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego.
SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
Greg Duncan has been developing eDiscovery software applications since his days at the now-defunct Arthur Anderson. Greg continued to develop eDiscovery applications for the next 10 years during his tenure at KPMG, a time of continuous change and innovation in the world of eDiscovery and information governance. As a Microsoft Visual Studio and .NET MVP and a certified Scrum Master, Greg has been blogging and podcasting substantive technology information for many years. Greg’s dedication to research, in tandem with his vast experience, brings forth relevant and useful information that can be applied to all aspects of legal technology.
With an indelible passion for data and a deep understanding of technology, Cyrus brings process innovation and technology driven solutions, delivering powerful discovery outcomes for legal departments. Prior to joining ProSearch Cyrus was an integral member of the practice support teams at Quinn Emanuel, Munger Tolles & Olson, and Manatt Phelps & Phillips. Cyrus’s extensive experience in eDiscovery provides clients with support and guidance, along with custom designed solutions to assist in meeting their discovery obligations.
Sean P. Foley, Esq.
Mr. Foley’s experience is in consulting on matters of information governance, case preparation, and document management and leading large scale automated document review engagements on behalf of Fortune 500 companies. A licensed California attorney, Mr. Foley spent five years handling all aspects of complex case litigation up to and including trial and binding arbitration, motion practice on discovery issues, arguing dispositive motions and participation in early resolution and mediation of cases. Prior to joining ProSearch, Mr. Foley was Manager of Research and Implementation at H5 where he managed domestic and offshore review teams. Mr. Foley earned his B.A. in Theology from Georgetown University and his J.D. from the University of San Francisco.
